DURATION: 02N KAZIRANGA + 02N SHILLONG + 01N CHERRAPUNJEE + 01N GUWAHATI

DAY 01: GUWAHATI – KAZIRANGA (230 KMS / 05HRS)

Upon arrival at Guwahati Railway Station /Airport meet & greet, then transfer to Kaziranga (Home of the “One Horned Rhinoceros”). On arrival at Kaziranga, check into hotel & enjoy the evening at leisure. Enjoy overnight stay at Kaziranga.

DAY 02: KAZIRANGA NATIONAL PARK

Early morning go for Elephant ride@ 5AM. After safari return back to hotel & enjoy your breakfast; later in the afternoon go for Jeep safari in the Central Range (Safari Charges are not included in the package & subject to availability /weather condition). Enjoy overnight stay at Kaziranga.

DAY 03: KAZIRANGA – SHILLONG (270 KMS/ 06HRS)

After your breakfast check out from hotel & transfer to Shillong known as “Scotland of the East". While traveling one can see the majestic Umiam Lake (Barapani) surrounded by sylvan hills and wrapped in the beauty of an assortment of green Khasi-pines and the azure blue skies. On arrival at Shillong, check in to the hotel. Enjoy overnight stay at Shillong.

DAY 04: SHILLONG – MAWLYNNONG - DAWKI - SHILLONG (100 KMS / 03HRS ONE WAY)        

After breakfast enjoy an excursion tour to Mawllynong and Dawki (100 kms / 03 hrs drive approx , it is advisable to carry packed lunch to Mawllynong). Mawlynnong village, situated 90 kms ahead of Shillong on the Shillong- Dawki Road, 30 kms from Pynursla, is a village of 75 households with a population of 400. An idyllic location, this village epitomizes a standard, which all other villages need to aspire to be. Dubbed the cleanest village in India by Discover India Magazine, the primary Village School till class V boasts of its no dropout record and the village of 90 % literacy. Paved walkways and beautiful flowerbed all along mark the village, with waterfalls, a living root bridge, hilly rivulets, acacia plantation and an excellent view of the faraway plains of Bangladesh all contribute to the ambience of this village. Farming of betel nut & leaves, broomsticks and pepper along with bee rearing are the primary economic activity of this Village and 

with the village headman himself taking the responsibility of making visitors comfortable, a day in this village gives an insight into the life of the Khasis, the influence of the Church and its metamorphosis. (Also visit the Tree House, Living Root Bridge, Sky View Point, Balancing rock).

After that visit Dawki, a small border town in the Jaintia Hills, Dawki and its famed river Umngot is a must visit if in Meghalaya. Sandwiched between India and Bangladesh and also famous for its tourism scene, with many people flocking to the city in order experience a boat ride in its famed Umngot River and enjoy the nearby sights and soundsThe city becomes a hotbed of tourist activities especially during the spring months as it hosts the boat riding competition on the Umngot River. The surrounding greenery, the cold water of the river and the beautiful suspension bridge on the River Umngot make Dawki a place worth a visit. After that, return back to Shillong. Enjoy overnight stay at Shillong.

DAY 05: SHILLONG SIGHTSEEING – CHERRAPUNJEE (05 HRS)

After breakfast check out from the hotel and enjoy local sightseeing of Shillong. Visit, Lady Hydari Park, Wards Lake, Cathedral Church, Elephanta Falls, Shillong Peak (Subject permission) etc. After the sightseeing of Shillong, drive towards Cherrapunjee. On arrival at Cherrapunjee, check in to the hotel. Enjoy overnight stay at Cherrapunjee.

DAY 06: CHERAPUNJEE LOCAL SIGHTSEEING – GUWAHATI (170KMS / 05HRS )        

After a delicious breakfast check out from the hotel & visit local sightseeing of  Cherrapunjee including Noa Kalikai Water Falls, Mawsmai Cave, Dainthlen Waterfall, Seven sister waterfalls, Sawdong Falls, Eco Park, Thanpkhrang Park,. After sightseeing transfer to Guwahati. Enjoy overnight stay at Guwahati.

DAY 07: GUWAHATI AIRPORT / RAILWAY STATION DEPARTURE

Early morning visit Kamakhya Temple. After breakfast check out from the hotel & get transfer to Guwahati Railway Station / Airport for your onward journey with unlimited memory of your Shillong Tour.
